Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz says conceding two goals before half-time against Gambia killed the Black Stars morale and left his players nervous as they suffered a 4-2 defeat in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.Ghana appeared to be in control after Ernest Nuamah converted a 27th-minute penalty before Felix Afena-Gyan doubled the advantage five minutes later with a free-kick at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.However, the Black Stars two-goal lead quickly disappeared as Mohammed Badamosi pulled one back from the penalty spot before Omar Colley equalised four minutes before the break.Gambia then completed the comeback in the second half, with Ebrima Colley putting the visitors ahead in the 68th minute before Omar Colley scored his second in stoppage time.Queiroz believes Ghanas inability to protect their advantage had a significant impact on the teams mentality.This was one of those days that everything went wrong for our team.
